BANGALORE: It was non-stop music for 30 hours by Shailesh Kumar Sethiya in Ambedkar Bhavan on Sunday. The harmonica player claims to have broken the Guinness World Record for playing the instrument for the longest period. Shailesh started playing harmonica on May 1 from 11.40 am and went on till Sunday evening.
Shailesh’s music included — Jai Ho, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dreams and much more. Currently, a Swiss citizen holds the Guinness World Record for playing harmonica for 24 hours. The event’s video will now be sent to the Guinness Book of World Records. The 30-year-old harmonica player also made it to the Limca Book of Records recently.
According to the Guinness Book rule, Shailesh took 20 minutes break after performing for four hours. “It is not about fame. It is about promoting the art,” he said.
